Operated by SER's subsidiary corporation, SERCO, Inc. , the Jobs, Education and Training (JET) Program is an intensive and comprehensive
job search and job placement program that emphasizes immediate labor force attachment, elimination of barriers, job training and education,
job retention, and a comprehensive case management process that promotes long term successful outcomes that lead to economic self
sufficiency.
The JET program prepares participants with the necessary skills to prepare the job application and resume, successful interviewing techniques
and follow up, organizational skills, time management, proper workplace etiquette and appearance tips through presentations, mock interviews,
role play, and the computer skills necessary to navigate the web based job search process.
The program also provides participants with barrier resolution counseling and fulfills the necessary supportive service needs such as child care,
transportation, and work related tools and clothing to ensure that all barriers to employment are eliminated.
The SERCO JET program works in close partnership with the Department of Human Services and is strategically located in two One Stop Center
locations to maximize the service delivery process:

The JET program is funded by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth and the Detroit Workforce Development Department, A Michigan Works! Agency.
