Through a partnership with Latin Americans for Social and Economic Development Inc. (LA SED), SER Metro-Detroit is
currently offering leasing opportunities on the busy West Vernor Highway near Scotten Avenue in Southwest Detroit.  The
commercial space was renovated last year after LA SED took the bold step of purchasing the property in its efforts to revitalize
the immediate and surrounding neighborhoods.

The former Carnival Bar, situated across from Clark Park and in close proximity to an elementary, middle, and high school
particularly, attracted unsafe and unwanted activity in this community; activity that immediately ceased upon LA SED’s
purchase. In its place are newly renovated commercial units where businesses are sure to thrive and jobs made available in
Southwest Detroit, the only City of Detroit community where the population and economy continues to grow.

LA SED selected its long-time partner, SER Metro-Detroit with which to partner on this project given the organization’s on-going
commitment to community and economic development.  “SER Metro-Detroit is pleased to expand our partnership with LA SED
to include this important project,” stated SER President and CEO, Ms Eva Garza Dewaelsche, adding that “LA SED should be
commended for the action that it took to help improve the well being of Southwest Detroit and its residents.

The 6,500 square foot commercial units are located at
4200-4222 West Vernor Highway.  For additional information on
